This pattern is one that I could make over and over again. It is easy to select 13 fat quarters from your local quilt shop or even your stash!  Add 2-1/2 yards of background fabric and you'll have all you need to make this modern twist on the classic Irish Chain pattern.

Clever cutting will allow you to cut out the entire quilt in no time and be on your way to sewing! I do suggest labeling sandwich baggies to help with organization. Though the quilt pattern is shown with a variety of colors, a dark/light colorway option is shown in the picture below (the red and white version).

The blocks are all pieced using straight seams (no curves or y-seams).  This is a great quilt pattern for new quilter or an experienced quilter who wants a top that comes together easily.  Because the pieces are bigger, the quilt top will come together in a jiffy and the assembly at the end is a breeze.  In case your blocks end up a bit larger or smaller, the border has a bit of wiggle room so that you can cut it to fit your exact quilt body.
